Season 9 (Championship Spring 2009) ran from January to May 2009. Five new nations made their international ranking début, increasing the total amount of nations covered from 54 to 59. Four of the five new nations were from Europe (Estonia, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg) and one was from the Middle East (Bangladesh).
